The sun was shining today and it wasn't too chilly for me (I tend to freeze easily) so I decided to plan an imprompto trip to the park for everyone. The kids rollerbladed, ran with the pups, walked the baby in the stroller and played at the playground. Bob and I attempted some puppy training (didn't go so well) and ran around with the dogs. We also had a few moments of laying on a blanket and talking. The temps dropped quickly though so we packed up and headed back home. On the way, I noticed an older couple training two Standard Poodles (turned out one was a different breed but looks very similar) and asked them if the training was going well. We ended up comparing similar notes on the Standards lol. Oh well..will have to work harder I guess.
When we got home, the kids put on a play for us complete with snacks to enjoy lol. Children truly are a precious gift from God. I am realizing that truth in a deeper way. In fact, that is a perfect lead in to where I left off yesterday hehehe. Yesterday, I shared about my bad attitude toward having more children and how a hospital tour changed all that. We had decided to go with a midwife this time around because I had heard so many wonderful things about them. But I was going to deliver at a hospital no matter what...pain killers down the hall for me.
Bob suggested having a home birth and I suggested he get pregnant and have one. Anyway, we went on the maternity ward tour and both of us became more and more determined not to deliver there with each step. At one point, Bob leaned over and asked me if we were touring a jail or a hospital. On the way home, Bob suggested home birth again to which I replied he was insane, drugs down the hall was my mantra. But I was NOT delivering there either. We would have to find another hospital.
Bob went with me to the next midwife visit and we voiced our concerns...she informed us that another one of her couples had been on the same tour and felt the same way. We knew which ones lol. They had the same expressions we had on our face: NO WAY! Bob brought up home birth yet again and I mentioned other hospitals. My wonderful midwife sided with my husband! Apparently, the other hospitals were too far away. Might have had something to do with baby number five lol. We discussed home birth and decided that was the way to go.
I am out of time but will share more soon. Oh, I have decided to challenge myself to write a 300 word (at least) article a day for seven days. I will let you know how I do. Catcha later!
