Summer time...

  • Feeling... Patience (OUCH)
  • Pondering... How to trust God
  • Days without sugar... How to keep my mouth closed until AFTER I pray first!
Summertime for us has been really busy. We have been schooling through the summer this year which has been really enjoyable for all of us. Bob came up with a plan to help the girls get into shape: for each math problem they miss...they have to do 10 situps or 5 pushups lol. They consistently choose the situps. I don't blame them.  I had Bob inflate my exercise ball and plan on joining them. Heather tends to be easily distracted so if she takes a really long time to do her math...she gets 30 situps!! You should here her laugh through them. Gets us all laughing.

We are still paying off the dog vet bill after almost losing our pup...each month it seems like something hits financially and I am finally not worried about it anymore. I know God will supply our needs and I trust Bob to work to our best interest in finances so I am doing my part. My part would be to watch my spending, shop well for groceries and other needs, and do what I can around the house to keep costs donw.

Speaking of costs...we are heading out of town for some fun! We are going to Silverwood Theme Park and Silverwood Water Park (two parks). We are staying in a nice campground which is actually run by Christians and seems to have some nice features such as a campfire fellowship time in the evenings, a movie by the campfire, playground, canoe, paddle boats, and other types of rentals...and much more. We are all looking forward to visiting with my parents, my brother's family and my sister's family. I am sure I will have lots to share about that when we get back.  Unfortunately, we have to kennel our pups. Poor babies won't know what is up but at least they can go into a kennel together.

Speaking of pups: my baby turned one last week and our other baby turns one next week. I bought Davey a bone shaped squeeky toy and gave him a whole treat (we usually give them little pieces) and then the kids wanted to sing Happy Birthday so we did. Yup, felt a little goofy but you should make room for goofiness in your life....it makes wonderful memories.

Well, I need to get back to work...we are cleaning, organizing, and packing before we leave. I am sure things will calm down soon and we will get back into a routine where I can blog more. Hope you are all having a wonderful summer.

Check out the new things I added under A Mini Meander...there are links to a Guestmap, Message Board, Poll, etc.
