Splish, splash I was...eating dinner??

The Silva family sat down for dinner last night. We were feelin' like some tacos...of the soft variety. Conversation was flowing and jaws were chewing when all of a sudden...whoosh...Heather knocks her full cup over and filled her taco with water! So I told her to grab some paper towels and soak up the water before her taco shell got too soggy.

It was still good enough to eat so we all settled back in a choppin and a talkin when whoosh...Katrina's cup goes over! Bob being the wonderful daddy he is knocked his cup over so the girls wouldn't feel bad. It only took me a split second to push mine on over because I sure didn't want to be left out of the fun. Christian of course didn't miss the opportunity to do the same.

There we all were laughing and jumping out of the way as the water splashed everywhere. It was so much fun! I looked over and saw Chrysti, the more practical one of us all quickly gulping her drink down...she musta thought we would grab hers next.

My lesson in all of this? If you are the type that gets upset over 'spilled milk' trying spilling some yourself and laughing instead.

I am sure I will have more to share later today...just wanted to get this wonderful Saturday morning rolling with a good tale. The girls and Jake and I are heading out in a bit to buy the rest of Christian's birthday gifts. He is so cute...he turns 5 in three days (20th). He has been singing about it to anyone who will listen lol. I made a paper chain for him to count down the days until his day and he has been loving it...it added to the excitement. I will have to do this for other big things coming up.

Have a great day everyone!

Well...Bob has done it with raw eggs before. The girls occassionally drop them and he has been known to toss a couple on the floor to join them.

I am glad it blessed you Maria! I am trying more and more to look for those moments of laughter.

Hi Audra! Thanks for the great story...and inspiration! I make a point to not get upset over my kids' spills or breaks (I distinctly remember those episodes in my mother's house), but I don't usually have fun with them either. I'll be sure to look for those opportunities in the future!! Thanks for sharing!
Joy in your journey today, my friend! M.

Oh sure, easy to say when it's water being spilled! But how about when it's really milk? lol

I can't believe Christian is turning FIVE! Our babies seem to be getting TOO old!! The twins will be five in Dec. and I just can't believe that either!
