I LOVE that movie. But my chills are because I'm sick. PFFFT! I woke up with my face hurting and both ears aching especially the left one. I staggered out of my room (literally - can we say inner ear pressure?) and tried to hang on to the moving walls.
I couldn't be down and out with this stuff. We had a field trip scheduled. So what's a mom to do? CANCEL! Just kidding. I wanted them to be able to check out this local museum and you can't beat the price - free if you go with the homeschool group. My daughter dutifully informed me that she'd just tell everyone I'd been hitting the rum this morning if I stumbled about the museum. Um. Thanks.
I glanced outside and noticed it was a gorgeous, sunny day which made it a little better. Until I stepped outside. And was blasted with icy cold wind. The kind that screams through you as well as around you.
I survived the outing, and even stopped by the PO and library. We made it back around 2ish and I've been chilled ever since. We're talking wearing layers and goosebumps are still hanging around.
My daughter is making me some steaming hot Red Spice Tea. If that doesn't do it, I'm doomed. Just call me ice queen lol.
Let's hope the sinus and ear pain goes away real soon. I'm NOT going to the doctor right now.
And for those of you still reading, I have a giveaway for some lotion on a dash of sassitude. Look for the button at the top of this blog and go enter before Friday.
UPDATE: I am HOT! PHEW! Fan me please. I'm thinking the tea that scalded a path down my throat worked like a charm. Of course my taste buds are dead just in time for supper, but hey, I'm warm.
For the moment anyway.
I had a funny happen to me in the midst of my er sick day. Check out my post on my homeschooling blog, Six Short of a Dozen - it's about the softest tissues EVER!
