Making Your Home a Haven Challenge: Day 2 & 3

I decided to go ahead and tackle Day 2 & Day 3 today as well. I'd like to get completely caught up. So here goes:

Day 2

1. Refresh Your Spirit (5 minutes)

I aready had my quiet time today, but I took the opportunity to pray again.

2. Take Time to Plan (5 minutes)

  • Mail out birthday card for Bob's mom
  • Begin a brain drain list (everything that pops up in my head that needs doing)
  • Print out cookbook
  • Tidy desk
  • Finalize my Christmas gift list

I might add one or two more things as I go. I'll definitely mark these off as I go.

3. Do Something! (10 minutes)

Today, we are supposed to tackle the living room for 10 minutes. Ladybug (15) has kicked us all out and wants to do this room herself. It might have something to do with the tree going up in there when she's done.

Day 3

1. Refresh Your Spirit (5 minutes)

For day 3, Crystal said to think of three things I'm thankful for, write them down and express gratitude to the Lord. I tend to thank Him as I journal during my quiet time. I have so much to be thankful for. Here are three things:

  • Jesus' death on the cross and His blood that cleanses me
  • My husband and children who love me (even when I'm at my worst) and make my life rich and wonderful just by being in it
  • My friends who share in the good and the bad life throws our way

2. Take Time to Plan (5 minutes)

The to-do list in this post will work for both day 2 and day 3 since I'm catching up. Day 3 added in planning dinner. It's too late to have it completely made or almost completely made by lunch since it is already 2:30, but we are working on it ahead of time. We're actually trying one of the recipes from Crystal's book called Simply Suppers.

3. Do Something! (15 minutes or so)

Day 3 is supposed to be laundy and laundry room, but when we went to start a load, the washing machine wouldn't come on. HMMM. I'm hoping it's something silly and can be fixed quick without money being involved. I'll save this one for when I can do it which hopefully will be tomorrow.

5 More Meandering Minds.
