I've been having a little trouble finding my writing style again with this blog for some reason. I think it's because I was reviewing on here and my writing voice got a little too serious. It's time to have fun again along with the occasional philosophical moments. This is after all My MEANDERING Mind.
The reviews I write will be posted on my writing blog along with anything writing related. Make sure you check that out if you want to know how my writing journey progresses and if you need something good to read.
So, in honor of trying to get my quirky voice back on here, I have got to tell you a funny. My darling son decided he would like to put some peaceful music on this afternoon while is brother slept on the couch. I was nursing Amber to sleep while reading a really interesting novel on another couch.
My son squatted down in front of the stereo, popped in a CD, had a little technical difficulties which were resolved quickly (something about mute being on and not sure how to get it off) and BOOM. Loud music poured from the speakers. My son catapulted to his feet, eyes wide open in shock as he took off running across the room where he performed a well executed somersault over the dog. I gave him a 10 in hysterical merits as I laughed helplessly with tears streaming down my face.
He finally realized that nothing was after him and gingerly returned to drop the music level to within acceptable decimals. He giggled along with the rest of us (you have to be able to laugh at yourself in this family). Needless to say, nap time was over for both toddler and baby.
Laughter truly is a wonderful gift.
